On March 15th, Hotel BonSol reopened its doors to welcome a new season and its first, much-appreciated guests. While we would have loved to greet them not only with a smile and a warm handshake but also with a ray of sunshine, the reality is that the first days of the season were marked by unusually cold and rainy weather for this time of year.
Our guests are used to enjoying a sun-kissed Mallorca, with mild Mediterranean temperatures and bright skies. However, this spring started off on a different note, with cooler weather not typical for the island.
Fortunately, Mallorca—especially its capital—offers a wide range of alternatives when the sun is not shining. Unlike other Balearic Islands such as Menorca, Ibiza, or Formentera, which have fewer options on grey days, Palma de Mallorca stands out as a vibrant, cultural, and versatile city—perfect even in less-than-ideal weather.
That’s why we’ve created this small guide to help you enjoy Mallorca on a rainy day. The first few suggestions are located just a short distance from Hotel BonSol and are easily accessible by taxi or bus line 4. For the others, we recommend renting a car.
